Our Mission
| The Mt. Pleasant Tea Party Patriots evolved from organizing this city's first Tea Party on July 4th. We represent the non-partisan silent majority who have been forced to find our voice and demand that our elected officials uphold the Constitution, support conservative values, practice fiscal responsibility and vote no to bills that promote socialism and bigger government. We intend to accomplish this by providing our fellow Americans with information on current issues, legislation and recommended resources to get the complete story about what our elected officials are doing with our hard earned money at local, state and national levels. We hope that the Tea Party held on July 4th will serve as the beginning of a Conservative movement locally to stand up for our country and preserve the principles of our founding fathers. |
| In the spirit of our mission, we are coordinating a forum on Friday, August 7th at the Civic Center in Mt. Pleasant concerning the proposed government run health care program. We have three local speakers confirmed at this time Dr. Anthony Greco and Dr. Issac Osborne both are local doctors who have experienced a government run health care system. Also scheduled to speak is Steve Capps of Capps Insurance, so please plan to attend this important Townhall forum and be informed about what Congress is planning that will drastically impact your health care and your taxes! |
